HEREFORDSHIRE RACEWAY LTD – CERTIFICATE OF UNDERSTANDING AND EXPRESS ASSUMPTION OF RISK. All participants MUST READ THIS FORM CAREFULLY.
KARTING IS A NON-CONTACT SPORT, DAMAGE WILL BE PAID FOR BY THE DRIVER
1. I, the undersigned, hereby declare that I have read and understood the conditions hereunder and that I agree to abide by their terms. I accept that Motor Racing can be dangerous.
2. I hereby confirm that I must and will not participate in any activity unless I have first attended the drivers briefings where I will be advised and thoroughly informed of the inherent risks in taking part in Karting and related activities, including but not limited to the fact that taking part in Karting and related activities can cause injuries to myself, collisions, overturning, rapid decelerations, rapid accelerations and unpredictable acts and I further state that following these briefings, I will abstain from participating should I not agree to accept the inherent risks involved. I understand that it is incumbent on me to seek further advice from the Race Director if I do not understand the instructions given in the briefing.
3. I further state that I am in good physical and mental health, my eyesight (as corrected as appropriate) is up to the standard required for a road driving test and I am not suffering from any other medical condition or disability which might make it unsafe for me to drive. I further state that I am not participating against medical advice and that I do not have any pre-existing condition, which might make it unsafe for me to drive including being pregnant.
4. I confirm that I have not consumed alcohol in the last 12 hours, which would have resulted in my blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit for driving a vehicle on the road in the UK. I can confirm that I am not under the influence of any drugs. I hereby certify that I do not intend to consume alcohol or drugs during my visit to Herefordshire Raceway.
5. I FURTHER EXPRESSLY CONFIRM THAT I UNDERSTAND THAT KARTING AND ITS RELATED ACTIVITIES ARE NOT WITHOUT RISK AND THAT ACCORDINGLY I UNDERTAKE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY TO LOOK AFTER MYSELF AND THOSE AROUND ME IN A CAREFUL AND THOUGHTFUL MANNER AT ALL TIMES WHILST ON THE PREMISES.
6. I agree to save harmless and keep indemnified Herefordshire Raceway Ltd and other participants in respect of any actions or claims for death or injury to myself or damage to my property arising from the event.
7. An accident book is available and any injury to a participant should be notified to the operator, recorded therein and signed by the injured person or their representative. Witness details must be recorded also.

9. By my signature agreement below, I accept that I fully understand that the terms of this document and the reasons why I have been asked to sign it and hereby confirm that I am signing it of my own free will. I further state that I am of lawful age and legally competent to sign this certificate and that I have acquired the written consent of my parent or guardian as appropriate. I confirm that I am 16 years of age or over.
Note:
> Ensure long hair is safely tucked away and that loose clothing and scarves are removed.
> All drivers MUST be a minimum height of 1.3 meters and a maximum weight of 20 Stone.
